It's truly the best when you get to find your best friend in your partner. That's what we found in one another. We first met at a Rangers baseball game back in 2017 with a big group of friends and it was honestly a shock that it took us that long to meet being that our best friends (and roommates at one point) are married. We barely spoke at that Rangers game, so our love story doesn't actually start until much later. We got the opportunity to hang out at a friends birthday and had the best time together. I (Stacy) unknowingly forced Stevie to down beers only to later find out that he's not much of a beer guy, but being the polite guy that he is - he accepted my free drinks. My friends will tell you I don't just buy any guy drinks so it was pretty clear I was interested. The real turning point was a friend trip to Destin. Stevie was on his A game and we had THE BEST time together that week. On our last full day we took a walk on the beach and I told him that I could see this turning into something serious for me and he quickly agreed that he was all in. Once we were back in Texas we quickly started officially dating and as they say, the rest was history. No but really, we went on amazing dates, celebrated birthdays, had some of the best meals, traveled together, we decided to move in together and even that was simple. Everything is better when we're together. My friends and family can attest that I very much love my alone time and now my alone time includes Stevie and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's an amazing thing to find someone that you're so comfortable with. When it came to our engagement, I always said I wanted to celebrate with friends and family afterwards in some way and would love if it was on a rooftop. Stevie delivered the most PERFECT engagement. He started coordinating with my friends and family, I naturally (unknowingly) caused this sweet man so much stress. I was originally supposed to be off of work on the big day, but I had to switch my days for some reason so I didn't get ready for our "date night" until around 4 pm for "reservations" at 6. I didn't have time to wash my hair (SO I GOT ENGAGED WITH A POUND OF DRY SHAMPOO IN MY HAIR) and I had bought a new dress for the date and Stevie told me he didn't like it (THANK GOD - cause it would have been horrible for an engagement outfit). He barely spoke to me the whole ride and as soon as we got to downtown, to the Sinclair, he parked on the street and didn't valet. I was so concerned about the car, I wouldn't shut up about it on the elevator ride up. As soon as the doors opened I saw the bar being set up still so I said that we couldn't be up there yet. Then he lead me over away from the bar and I saw the photographer and realized what was happening. He said the sweetest things before getting down on one knee and I think I barely let his knee hit the ground before I was saying "YES!" He had booked a photographer for an hour to take photos of us and then we had about 20 minutes to ourselves to enjoy champagne and celebrate being engaged before our friends and family showed up to the rooftop to celebrate with us. It was the most magical night and everything I could have ever wanted. Absolutely perfect. Without giving too much of my vows away, I'll leave it at this. I am so very lucky to have found someone who brings me so much peace and who accepts me exactly as I am while also encouraging me in any and everything I want to do. Our love is a partnership and it's everything I ever wanted and never thought I'd find. I'm blessed to be a part of this relationship and I cannot wait to celebrate with our friends and loved ones in November.
